Niobium handmade chain necklace with glass bead focal. Niobium is naturally dark metallic gray in color. It does not contain any nickel, and will not irritate your skin. This bead is is lamp work glass, oval in shape, white in color, beautiful dark red floral swirl arc across the front. This bead is 20 x 24 mm in size, 8 mm thick.
I have created this chain out of tightly wound niobium wire links. These are small, chunky bundle-wrap links alternating with simple figure-8 links. I have finished the back with a line of figure-8 links to lay flatter against your neck, completed with a handmade J-hook clasp. This necklace is 16 inches (40.5 cm) long.
When I visit my sisters who live in states across the midwest, I often find myself shopping at their local bead and rock stores. It's one of the ways I can get a glimpse of what the geography and art scene of a town is like. This bead was handmade by a local artist artist in Duluth, Minnesota.
